David Hall talked about his book A Reforming People at the
Congregational Library on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012. Many
came from various parts of New England. Most were
Congregational Church members including ministers.

Acc. to Hall, the early New England was not much like a
Libertarian laissez-faire society but a community based on
mutual help. Tea Party interpretation of New England
Puritanism does not seem to agree with Hall's analysis.
