Kitano in Kobe

Kobe surely beats Tokyo with their excellent breads. Even a very

simple eatery provides excellent bread. This goes back to the city's

lineage in the 19th century. Up until the WWII, Kobe was the

center for international trades and hosted residents, mostly

business oriented Europeans. German traders brought excellent

baking techniques to Kobe. I made a visit to one of these houses

Germans used to live in Kitano, Kobe.
